PHARMADEC, which specialises in the design and construction of buildings for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and health sectors, has just completed the extension and fitting out of the RECIPHARM site in Monts. The 2134 m² project was completed after 8 months of work.
RECIPHARM, a leading player in the pharmaceutical sector, which develops and produces medicines and active ingredients, entrusted PHARMADEC with the development of its site in Monts. In order to guarantee contamination was prevented and to develop its international business, the firm wished to reorganise its facilities.
PHARMADEC tackled this project by working on reorganising staff and material flows (raw materials and finished products, in addition to a heating, ventilation and air conditioning system with the installation of three air treatment units in addition to the forty already in place). The goal was to ensure the reclassification of the production zones going from ISO 8 to ISO 7 to conform to Good Manufacturing Practices concerning the production of medicine.
The teams at PHARMADEC took advantage of their wealth of experience in monitoring pharmaceutical projects within a limited time frame to satisfy the requirements of RECIPHARM concerning the scheduled availability of the facilities. That is why a lot of work was done in close collaboration with the client to hand over each area separately and to respect the gradual build up in production.
A rapid response, proximity and careful planning by the two works managers dedicated to this project, in some cases to within an hour of schedule, meant that this ambitious challenge was successfully carried out across the production areas at a busy site that was still running.
