Near Orléans, the future SOTAX PHARMA SERVICES laboratory continues to take shape. Launched last summer, this project, managed by IDEC SANTÉ, is now reaching several new key milestones, illustrating the steady progress of the construction works.
A new laboratory to support SOTAX’s growth
A subsidiary of the Swiss-based SOTAX Group, SOTAX PHARMA SERVICES has chosen to establish a long-term presence in Saran with a new 2,900 sq m facility dedicated to pharmaceutical analytical development and quality control.
This purpose-built facility will include:
- 1,300 sq m of laboratories
- Storage areas
- A reception area
- More than 1,100 sq m of office space
A working environment designed to support the company’s growth and accompany its long-term ambitions.

Construction progressing steadily
Since the start of the construction works, the project teams have remained fully mobilised to deliver the project in accordance with the planned schedule.
During February, works focused on the organisation of the interior spaces:
- Completion of the internal wall lining on the first floor
- Commencement of the technical packages, including the installation of cable trays and ductwork
- Completion of the external joinery and roof terrace waterproofing
These milestones secured the building envelope and prepared the site for the next technical installations.
March marked a new phase of progress, with several significant developments:
- Installation of insulated sandwich panels, essential for laboratory environments
- Start of the lift installation
- Completion of the internal wall lining on the ground floor
- Continuation of the electrical installations (high- and low-voltage systems) on the first floor

At the same time, several other operations further demonstrate the progress of the project:
- Installation of rooftop technical walkways
- Commencement of plumbing works on the first floor with the installation of support frames
- Installation of cassette-type indoor HVAC units
- Construction of the foundations for the future photovoltaic car park canopies
This project demonstrates the teams’ ability to coordinate multiple trades on a highly technical and demanding construction site. Each phase prepares the next one, following a continuous approach focused on optimising both the construction schedule and the quality of execution.
Ultimately, the building will also incorporate a strong environmental dimension through the installation of photovoltaic energy generation and an optimised energy management system.

Delivery scheduled for summer 2026
With a total construction period of 14 months, the project is progressing in line with the established schedule.
Delivery of this new laboratory is planned for August 2026.
By then, the coming weeks will be dedicated to the continuation of the interior fit-out works, gradually bringing this pharmaceutical development and quality control laboratory to life.
