IDEC SANTÉ will assist CHIESI with the construction of a turnkey facility with solar canopies on the site where its teams delivered the extension of an 8,200 m² pharmaceutical building a few weeks ago. These canopies will be erected on all the parking lots, i.e. a total surface area of 3,410 m². Work will start in September with delivery expected by the end of 2022.
A SELF-CONSUMPTION SETUP
Developed in partnership with IDEC ENERGY, this facility comprises the construction of a 659-KWp power plant made up of five double and three single canopies covering a total of 3,410 m². These French-made solar canopies use bifacial technology, which captures solar radiation on both sides, thus improving the overall yield of the solar power plant. This installation is planned for 100% self-consumption, with no selling back to the grid, and will produce 722 MWH of electricity per year, which will cover part of the production site’s power consumption.
AN IDEC SANTÉ ACHIEVEMENT
IDEC SANTÉ is handling all the phases involved in developing this facility by taking charge of the design and construction phases, the building permits, as well as overseeing the work. To preserve the existing site layout, all existing elements such as lampposts, trees, and existing networks are taken into account in the design. IDEC SANTÉ’s teams embarked on the administrative procedures at the beginning of the year. Construction is set to begin in September 2022 with final delivery expected by the end of 2022.
A COMMITMENT TO SOLAR ENERGY PRODUCTION
The project includes a maintenance and performance contract that will take effect on the date when the plant is connected and will last for 5 years. This contract includes a commitment on the facility’s solar output.
